The engine of the remaining Gauntlet pictured in the article was assembled 1982 during restoration. Original Mercurys werent available so the engine was replaced with Alvis Leonides taken from Hunting Percival Pembroke light freighter. Without guns and the engine being considerably lighter than the original Mercury, the performance is comparable with 540 hp. Also the landing gear isn't original but from Polikarpov I-15 bis.
